Our Approach to Training
Real World Training... for Real World Needs
"Very practical. Great discussions of real life, on the job situations."
Daniel Williams - Maintenance Supervisor - Mount Hermon Assoc.
American Trainco approaches our students as if they were our own employees. We instruct and guide them in practical knowledge that allows them to immediately go back to their workplace and apply what they have learned. By answering their specific questions relative to their own situations and equipment, maintenance practices or chronic problems, we enable students to make an instant impact on their facility after the training is completed. Our training objective is more than just imparting knowledge. We want students to be able to fix things they’ve never been able to fix before, to be able to do it safely, and to do it with complete confidence.
Learning from Mentors
| All American Trainco instructors are required to have substantial field experience so that they can understand and directly relate to the issues or problems his students face. Because of their vast experience they are able to personalize training by simplifying the subject matter for the novice or going more in-depth for the engineer. Our instructors will take a personal interest in each of the students and their jobs to make sure they can apply what they are learning. He’ll talk to them during breaks to make sure that nothing is left uncovered. And he’ll often stay in touch with students long after the training has been completed to continue the mentoring process that was started in the classroom. |

Active Participation
 |
Our training is designed with practical, real-world facility and industrial applications in mind. It focuses less on theory and more on the actual steps students need to properly maintain or fix equipment. Therefore when students come into our classroom they are encouraged to discuss the issues and problems they face in their own jobs every day.
In addition to our lively instructors, we use a variety of different learning aids in our classrooms including hands on exercises for the students, instructor demonstrations, interactive student response technology, problem solving exercises, role playing, and case study discussions built around the real life experiences of the students. |
Unaffiliated and Non-Commercial
Unlike some training experiences, you won't get a sales presentation at an American Trainco seminar - all you get is an honest, commercially unbiased education. We do not engage in the practice of selling or promoting any other company's products or services, so you know that by attending one of our seminars, your time and money is well spent.
"I appreciate the fact that you are not pushing any products - just information."

Setting Us Apart from the Competition
| American Trainco classes are designed to teach to the specific needs of the students. While we are always prepared to launch into a well-structured, general course curriculum, what really sets our training programs apart is the ability of our instructors to quickly assess their students in the classroom and understand their reasons for attending. Knowing this, he can more efficiently spend class time making sure each student gets exactly the training he needs. By making this quick assessment at the outset, the instructor is able to rearrange or emphasize certain segments of training so that he can spend more time in the areas that the students care about the most, while still covering everything necessary for those students seeking a solid, comprehensive education. |
